Story and Plot
This story is about Tara Salgaonkar, a diver working in a dredging company. She is a little troubled with her life because some incidents have happened in her dark past. Her mother has died and she investigates the reason behind her death. Then there comes a turn in her life in which a person changes her life completely. The further story will be known in the Starfish movie only.
Positive Review
This film is based on a novel. The visual appeal is strong and the actor’s performance is acceptable. The scenes of Malta and Sicily have been captured very well. Especially the underwater shots have also been presented beautifully. Good scenes can be enjoyed with music and there are some good songs too.
Negative Review
The story is fine but this routine love story can be made more engaging. Narration is also weak, screenplay is very dull and because of this, boring moments can be felt. The on-screen bond of the main leads is not able to create a feeling. There are many unnecessary scenes which cannot handle the sentiment.
The writing of the character may seem very poor as it cannot build a connection. Khushali Kumar led the show and his performance is okay. She has worked hard but failed to create an impact. The way its climax has been executed is the worst part of this film. There is a lack of emotional and positive depth which fails to engage the audience.
Technical Review
Director Akhilesh Jaiswal’s work is okay. Its story needs depth and some unnecessary scenes need to be removed that don’t help elevate the experience. Poor screenplay and narration need improvement.
The work of BGM score by Amar Mohile is fine. There are many good songs which can be liked. Cinematography by Jim Edgar has done impressive work. Production values are also decent.
Starfish Movie: Conclusion
Starfish is a romantic film in which the painful past of the life of a diver named Tara Salgaonkar is shown. The story is decent but the way it is presented can be disappointing as it becomes very difficult to relate to. The performances of the actors are decent and the storytelling needs to be improved.
