Positive Review
The love and emotions of father and son have been shown well. There is detailing work in every emotion. The presentation of Ranbir’s character is very wild and ferocious. Ranbir Kapoor has shown tremendous variety of emotions in the role of Ranvijay Singh. He has adopted Ranvijay’s feelings and anger and shown it in a pure natural way.
This character is made just for Ranbir and he charms. He looks killer in hard core action scenes and glows in every look. In the thrilling portion he also scares. You may like his body transformation. His and Rashmika’s chemistry is nice to watch.
The first half is very engaging with many gripping moments. Despite being lengthy, the first half passes smoothly. The engagement factor remains at its peak during the interval. Especially the action before the interval is very powerful. The scene of shooting with a machine gun will give you a feeling of madness. Violence has been shown on the next level. The climax scenes are also exciting and hilarious.
Rashmika Mandanna’s performance is also good to see. She is completely convincing in her role. Anil Kapoor has given justice to the role of father. Bobby Deol looks superb in this look. Apart from Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Prem Chopra, the entire star cast has given their best performance.
The characters are well combined with each other. The action scenes are well choreographed which are brutal and amazing. And all the loaded action scenes are powerfull. especially Arjan Valley Song is very good. BGM has contributed a lot in enhancing the experience. The filming locations are beautiful. The dubbing quality and songs in other languages are good.
Negative Review
At many moments it may be felt that the length is too much but after some time the director introduces such a twist that all the complaints go away. Some parts could have been chopped and some characters could have been utilized better.
Along with brutality scenes, there are also many bold and madness scenes. The depth of Ranbir’s character could have been reduced a bit. Bobby Deol’s character could have been explained and glorified further.
Technical Review
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is its director and writer. A very different and unique story has been presented. Fulfilling his promise, Sandeep gave the audience the gift of a violence movie. He has defined violence in this. The story is strong but the characters are also very strong.
One gets excited after listening to Harshavardhan Rameshwa’s BGM. Cinematography work is decent. Editing could have been better. Production values are rich. There is a lot of hype about Animal because a lot of effort has been put into its marketing and promotion.
Animal Movie: Conclusion
This is an action crime drama film in which the relationship between father and son could be experienced. The story is not very extraordinary but the presentation and execution of the characters are strong. Since this is an A rated film, brutality and abusive words have also been used in it. Sandeep Reddy’s next level direction can be experienced. 1st half is more entertaining and interesting than the 2nd half. Overall it can be enjoyed by watching it in theatre.
