Chandramukhi 2 Movie: Story and Plot
This story begins with a wealthy family. The head of that family is Ranganayaki aka Ragini (Raadhika Sarathkumar). Her family has been facing many problems for some time now. For this reason she goes to Guruji (Rao Ramesh). Then Guruji says that we will have to go to the village temple and worship God. That temple is situated near Vettaiya palace.
Ragini takes that palace on rent from Murugesan (Vadivelu). Murugesan does not tell Ragini’s family that Chandramukhi’s evil spirit is present in this palace. Will Ragini’s family be able to complete the puja?. What problems will they have to face in this palace? Will Chandramukhi take his revenge from Ragini’s family. The answer to all these questions will be found only when you watch this film.
Chandramukhi 2 Movie: Positive Review
Kangana Ranaut has played the role of Chandramukhi in it. She looks very perfectly fit in this role. The way she has played this character, it is difficult to tell whether her acting is real or fake. Kangana has tried to perform her best of the best acting. Seeing her new style, the audience is quite impressed with her. Her screen presence is so strong that only one word can be used to praise her – Best Acting.
Raghava Lawrence has played a dual role (Pandian and Sengottaiyan alias Vettaiyan) in it. He has acted with great confidence. But the acting of Superstar Rajinikanth is matchless and unbeatable. His acting has always been over the top. Lawrence’s performance in this movie too was praiseworthy.
When Kangana and Lawrence meet on screen, their action sequences look tremendous. The scene when both of them come face to face is one of the best scenes of this film.
Chandramukhi 2 Movie: Negative Review
Whenever horror thriller films are talked about, Chandramukhi remains in the top films. But the fun of thriller cannot be seen in this film, there is neither horror nor thrill in it. The thrill that was felt in its original part, hardly any element of it can be felt in the sequel.
In this, the maximum focus was to be on only one concept and that is “Comedy with Horror”. But perhaps the maker has added too much drama in it. Because of which its story may not seem engaging. But Lawrence’s hard work can be seen to make the story engaging. Those who are real fans of Chandramukhi may be disappointed after watching this.
Vadivelu played the role of Murugesan in it. He performed his acting well. He is a good comedy actor. But his character does not fit in this film.
Only some new substance has been added to the backstory of the sequel. The presentation of its screenplay may also seem old. The way an attempt has been made to show many elements by combining them, everything gets mixed.
In the first half, the story starts slowly but comes back into its phase and gives a bit of a thriller feel. Apart from being weak in its storytelling, it also fails to captivate the audience.
The aspect of current time and before time is good but its execution may look bad. Many audiences are not even aware that it has been released in theatres. Perhaps there may be shortcomings in its marketing or promotion.
Chandramukhi 2 Movie: Technical Review
P. Vasu is the director and producer of this film. As a director his work was decent. But as a writer, better can be expected from him. Its story can also be made more interesting. They had the best cast but the story was not impactful. Editor Anthony has also done not so good work.
M.M. Keeravani has done good work in background music. He used BGM properly to connect the audience. Its background and setup are also good, in which it is visible that hard work has been done to make the setup look real.
Chandramukhi 2 Movie Review: Conclusion
This is a horror film but you will hardly feel horror in it. The characters have been established in the first half but the screenplay is slow. If we compare both the parts then the 2nd part is better. Kangana Ranaut’s performance is memorable, she shines throughout the film. Lawrence has also left an impact with his character in the hearts of people. This sequel cannot be as impactful as the original part. Many shortcomings can be seen in it but it is also a good film. If you are a cinema lover then you should watch this movie.
