Story and Plot
This story is about a girl named Niyati living in an orphanage in Delhi. She is a National level topper in 10th borad exam. After this she gets admission under scholarship in the famous school of the city. Niyati makes many rich friends in that school. At the time of exam, Niyati makes those rich friends cheat in exchange of money. The higher the risk, the higher the reward, she follows this method. But one day she gets trapped in this cheating racket. Will she be able to come out of this racket? Is she involved in racket? The further story will be known in the film.
Positive Review
At the time of exam, cheating is done by making farrey, hence its name is farrey. In this, the cheating method of a girl named Niyati is shown. Who use many cheating techniques to pass the exam. The life and study of Rich and Poor Student are well combined. Niyati’s personal life and money problems have been well presented.
Alizeh Agnihotri plays the character of Niyati. She is new to acting but still she impressed with her good acting performance in this film. There was not much expectation from her but still she has done a good job. Her dialogue delivery, acting and expression are shown combined with emotion.
Thrill and tension moments have been created in many parts and have also been balanced well. The screenplay is fast so that the engaging factor is maintained. An environment has been created by combining all these elements. All the actors and star cast have performed well.
Negative Review
According to body language, some castes do not look like school students. At some points, it may seem difficult to connect with the child’s personal life, family and school life. Find it difficult to relate to him. There are different decent methods of cheating.
Despite having a straightforward concept, confusion is also created in it at many places. A more strategic and energetic casting could have been used so that a much larger audience could be targeted.
Technical Review
Director Soumendra Padhi has done okay work in this film. His work is fine in terms of writing. It could have been made interesting by adding many new cheating techniques. The story is good but its presentation could have been better in some moments.
Cinematography by Keiko Nakahara is fine. Production value is good. Sidhant Mathur’s music was decent. Editor Zubin Sheikh has done fine work in the 1st half. The hype of this movie is very less. Work had to be done in promotion.
Farrey Movie: Conclusion
Farrey is an average crime thriller drama film. If this film was released on OTT platform, it would have got good response from the audience. Alizeh Agnihotri’s acting can impress. It is a decent choice to watch it during the weekend.
