Saindhav Movie: Review

Saindhav movie has been released. This is a Telugu language action thriller film whose running time is 2 hr 18 min. Venkatesh Daggubati, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arya, Shraddha Srinath and Ruhani Sharma have worked as lead actors. It has been released on 13 January 2024. Its director is Sailesh Kolanu.

Story and Plot

This story is about Saindhav Koneru, a.k.a SaiKo who works as a crane operator for the customs department and has a dark past. He also has a beloved daughter in his life whose name is Gayathri and the daughter is taken care of by Manogya. One day, Gayathri faints in school and is brought to the hospital. Then the doctor informs that she is suffering from spinal muscular atrophy disorder. She needs an injection of Rs 17 crore. Will he be able to buy such an expensive injection? What is the dark past of his life? Is he hiding something from his family? The answers to all these questions will be known only in Saindhav film.

Positive Review

This story is about a person who has a dark past and who leaves his crazy life and lives a normal life with his family. But there comes a turn in his life due to which he has to go back to his old dark life. Similar stories can be seen in many films but its concept has a lot of potential.

Venkatesh Daggubati plays the character of Saindhav Koneru “SaiKO”. Like always, he has played this character with all his heart. He leads the show and charms the whole time. His screen presence is very strong and he is also successful in creating impact with his acting. He has expressed his emotions well in some emotional scenes.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has played the role of Vikas Malik. The action scenes he did were amazing. He also brings some laughs with his humor.

There are some gripping moments in the second half in which many good action scenes are also seen. This film also delivers a message in which SMA disorder is told and the contribution of NGOs is also shown.

Negative Review

Saindhav’s concept was good and its story could have had more scope but its narration may seem weak. The screenplay could also have been tightened a bit. The kind of environment that has been created may not seem very relatable. BGM plays a very big role for an action thriller film but its BGM score is a bit bad which does not help in elevating the film.

The first 30 minutes of the first half are slow with many dull portions. Excitement is not created in this part. Action sequences may seem meaningless. At some places its story can also be easily predicted but the last 10-15 minutes are engaging. Violence didn’t work that well with sentiment.

Very good actors have been cast in this film but due to lack of characterizations, they are not able to create much impact. Nawazuddin has put in effort but the script did not allow him to charm. Apart from Andrea Jeremiah, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, many other cast members also deserve good characters.

Technical Review

Director Sailesh Kolanu has chosen a good topic and this story may have a lot of potential but its shortcoming may be worst screenplay, weak storytelling, bad emotion and some logical errors. Its concept could have had a lot of scope but its benefit could not be taken.

Music and BGM could have been better. Garry BH’s work is decent in terms of editing. Cinematography by Manikandan has done brilliant work. Production values are rich.
