A new film named Skanda has been released. This film has been directed by Boyapati Sreenu and he is also its writer. This is an action drama film in which a lot of action fun will be given. In this, Ram Pothineni, Sreeleela and Monika have worked as lead actors.
Skanda Movie: Story and Plot
This story is related to Andhra Pradesh CM Rayudu’s (Ajay Purkar) and Telangana CM Ranjith Reddy’s (Sharath Lohitashwa). These two CM’s son and daughter fall in love with each other and run away to get married. Rayudu gets very angry about this so he wants to take revenge. There are twists in the story.
That twist is the entry of Bhaskar Raju (Ram Pothineni). Bhaskar kidnaps the daughters of CMs of both the states. This kidnapping is linked to the jailed CEO of Crown Group. Why did Bhaskar commit kidnapping? Will their love story be completed? The answer to all these questions will be found when you watch this film.
Skanda Movie: Positive Review
Ram Pothineni has played the character of Bhaskar Raju in it. The aggression shown in his action sequences looks real and natural. His aggression look can impress the audience a lot. The way Ram’s dialogue delivery has been presented is very impactful. Dialogues fit with facial expressions. The action and dialogue given by him seem very massy, due to this the audience can connect with his character.
Sreeleela has played the role of the daughter of Telangana CM. She has played this character well. According to screenspace She has been shared, She has not done over the top impressive work. But her beauty and dancing may seem attractive to the audience.
Its 1st half is promising and good. In which Ram’s massive avatar is shown. The BGM along with the action shown before the interval makes the story interesting. Which can be enjoyed. Srikanth and Daggubati Raju have contributed appropriately as per their roles.
Skanda Movie: Negative Review
Nothing extra new can be seen in its story. But the way of presenting the story may be different. Its storyline may seem a bit weak due to which it is getting mixed response from critics. At many places its story even becomes predictable.
It succeeds in engaging the audience in the first half but after some time its story may become dull. The screenplay of the second half may seem a bit slow, but when emotional touch is added then it looks decent. Ram has tried to make this story engaging with his performance.
There has not been much focus and exploration on any character, so it may take some time to connect with the character. Many characters have been added, due to which the story may seem a bit lengthy. Even if those extra cast were not added, it would not have made much difference to its plot.
Its twists and turns may not seem surprising. Efforts have been made to maintain suspense. One cannot feel that something new has been seen.
According to its story, the climax could have been made even better. Many audiences may not be satisfied after seeing the ending. The color grading has been kept a little high. Slow motion shots may seem a little over.
Skanda Movie: Technical Review
S. Thaman’s BGM work was decent and matching with the movie. The production values are decent. Its producers are Srinivasaa Chitturi and pavan kumar. You may like camera work in action scenes. Editing work has been done okay by Tammiraju. It has been released on 28 September 2023. The length of this film is 2 hrs 47 min. Dialogues given by M Rathnam are good.
Skanda Movie Review: Conclusion
This is an action drama film in which there is a lot of focus on action. Comedy element has also been added. Ram Pothineni’s acting and action performance are very good, due to which the audience is able to relate to him.
The story is simple but it could have been made a little more engaging as the story becomes predictable after a few scenes. It can also be called mass masala type film. In which overdose of action will be seen. If you like Ram Pothineni’s massy action and aggression look then this film is a must watch.
