Story and Plot
This story is about a boy living in a slum named Pawan. His family consists of father, mother and sister. He dreamed of becoming a golf player in his childhood. He wants to learn golf from his favorite coach Rane Sir. But he has to face many difficulties in his journey. Will he be able to transform his life? Will he be able to fulfill his dream? What challenges will he have to face? The answers to all these questions are shown in the series.
Positive Review
Golf is a sport which is not as popular as cricket sport among Indian people. There is less information and awareness related to this sport. Like cricket, there are career options in golf too. A boy named Pawan living in a slum faces many challenges to overcome his poverty. He wants to choose his passion Golf and make it his career.
Mayur More has played the character of Pawan Nagre. He has also performed well in the Kota factory series earlier. His work is excellent in this. He has shown Pawan’s pain, emotion and dream with great dedication. Sharad Kelkar has played the role of Coach Gautam Rane. His past life and incidents have been well covered. His work is good. The backstory is shown by carrying it with the present day. The entire cast is well developed and their work is also good.
Storytelling is very strong. The daily routine, lifestyle and struggle of the people living in slums have also been highlighted. Its story is simple but it hits the heart. Golf terms are explained in detail. The youth are also given the message of career option in this sport. Many scenes were not shown over the top. The stories between the characters are interesting. Dialogue delivery is decent and it is also meaningful.
Negative Review
The story is very powerful but its length can disturb at some moments. It may seem lengthy at times. It diverts from the story in just a few moments which can seem stretchy. But golf info is good.
Technical Review
Director Sujay Dahake has done a good job in this series. He has chosen a good subject and presented it. The writing work is fine. Cinematography by Vijay Mishra is impressive. The way the slum is presented looks very real. Production value is good. The work of music department and BGM is good.
Slum Golf Webseries: Conclusion
This is a sports drama series in which a boy’s dream sport is shown. The environment of slum has been given a real look touch. This is the best series for golf lovers. This series will entertain even those who are not golf lovers. The story is explained well by adding past life to the present life. This series can be watched during weekends.
