12th Fail: Story and Plot
Chambal’s Manoj Kumar Sharma is shown in the starting of the movie. His father is an honest government employee. Due to some reason his father is suspended from his job. Due to which the financial condition of Manoj’s family deteriorates. Since childhood, he dreams of becoming an honest officer when he grows up.
An incident occurs during the 12th exam. That incident inspires him a lot. He comes to Delhi city to fulfill his dream. Now will Manoj be able to become an officer? Will he be able to improve the financial condition of his family? By which incident was he inspired? The answer to all these questions will be found only after watching the film.
Positive Review
It shows a person’s journey from hard work and dedication to success. It shows the journey of real life Struggling IPS officer Manoj Sharma. How many difficulties a child from a very poor family has to face to fulfill his dreams. Emotioal and motivational factors have been added to it. Because of this, public emotions will also keep changing with the scene.
Vikrant Massey has played the character of Manoj Kumar Sharma. Seeing his acting, it has been proved that he has a lot of potential in acting. He has performed this character with so much effort that in a moment he starts looking like the real Manoj. An award should be given for his acting performance. The audience starts connecting and relating emotionally with his role. The film in which emotional connection is built earns well at the box office.
The way Manoj’s struggle is shown in the storyline of the film seems very real. All the supporting cast have given their best acting performance. That cast has played their character perfectly. It has been shown for educational purpose but its story has been portrayed in such a way that it will touch the personal life of any person. Even from the entertainment aspect, it keeps its audience engaged from beginning to end.
Every scene has been worked with great detailing. There is no confusion in understanding any part, it is understood very easily. The ending of the film will be heart-warming and will satisfy your feelings. Along with suspense, thrill and romance factor has also been added to it.
Negative Review
The songs of this film may sound good but many more motivational songs could have been added to it. The love story is nice to watch but this type of love angle has been seen many times. There are some points in the second half which would not have made any difference even if they were not there.
Medha Shankar has played the role of Shraddha Joshi. She looks cute and beautiful. Her work is excellent. Her role could have been made more impactful.
Technical Review
The director and writer of this film is Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He has done the direction work very well. No unnecessary thing has been added in the writing due to which the plot attracts the audience. The editor has given his best in his work. Cinematographer Rangarajan Ramabadran’s work is decent. Production values are okay. The producers of this film are Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Yogesh Ishwar.
