Story and Plot
Ex CBI officer Vamana Srinivasan has to go to Central Jail of Karnataka to discuss any issue. Then there is an explosion which creates panic among the prisoners. An anonymous person named Big Daddy and his gang together take over that jail. Then the government appoints an officer to resolve this solution. The name of that officer is ACP Chengappa. ACP executes the mission to rescue Ex CBI officer and hostage. Will ACP be able to save the hostage? After all, why did that anonymous person hijack the jail? Will ACP be successful in its mission? The answer to all these questions will be found only after watching the film.
Positive Review
Its story looks very interesting in the first half and many twists and turns are also seen in it. Both Suspense and Mystery have been added. The story of the main character has been presented in the right way. Because of this it engages and captivates the audience. The pacing of the story is fast and the action sequences have been made exciting.
Shiva Rajkumar played the character of Dalavayi Muddanna alias “Big Daddy” and Anand Rao. The way his role has been presented is very good. Swag and style are reflected in his entry. There may be curiosity to know the story of Rajkumar’s character. Jayaram has displayed his role well.
Negative Review
The screenplay and story are very strong and engaging in the 1st half but that level of engagement and interest has not been maintained in the 2nd half. Money heist touch has been given in the beginning. The process of hijacking could have been made more logical.
Many scenes may seem illogical due to which the audience may not be convinced. Villain look could have been made interesting.
Archana Jois has played the role of a reporter. The feeling of connection with her character is not able to build up. Anupam Kher played the character of A. N. Rao. He has been given very less screen space in this film and his role could have been made impactful.
Technical Review
Cinematographer Mahendra Simha is okay. Color grading is decent. Good work has been done in BGM in many scenes but in some scenes BGM may seem repetitive. Arjun Janya’s work is okay and makes for a decent experience. Some scenes of the second half could have been cut for better experience. Deepu S. Kumar’s editing work is okay.
M. G. Srinivas is the director of this film. He is the one who has introduced the exciting story of this film. The first half is engaging to watch but the engagement factor becomes weak in the second half. Dubbing quality in other languages may seem low.
Ghost Movie Review: Conclusion
The story is very interesting but its presentation could have been better. Nothing much exceptional can be expected from this film. Overall, if we talk about acting performance, Shiva Rajkumar’s performance is the best. This is the first film of Srinivas’ cinematic universe. Some scenes of the second half may not seem engaging. But watching this can give a unique feeling.
