Khichdi 2: Movie Review

Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan has been released. This is a Hindi language Adventure comedy drama film whose running time is 2 hr 1 min. It has been released by Hats Off Productions co on 17 November 2023. Supriya Pathak Kapur, Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, Vandana Pathak, Jamnadas Majethia and Kirti Kulhari have worked as lead actors.

Story and Plot

The king of Paanthukistan captures the Indian Scinetist and orders him to invent a dangerous robot. Then Parekh family is sent to Paanthukistan to save him. They all find that the king looks exactly like Praful. Then the family takes advantage of this and does many things for the welfare of the people there and the society. But they all have to face one problem. Will King be able to find out the reality of the Parekh family? Will they be able to save the scientist? Will Praful become the king there?

Positive Review

Khichdi 2 is the sequel to Khichdi 1. Its story can be easily understood even without watching the first part. Its characters are the same. This is that kind of movie in which the entertainment factor has been kept at the top.

The storyline has been well narrated. Its humor makes the audience laugh. Jokes and dialogues delivery are hilarious. Situational comedy has been well created. Even after so much time, all the characters have maintained that energy. Word’s explanations are engaging.

Anang Desai has performed the character of Tulsidas Parekh (Babuji) and Supriya Pathak Kapur has performed the character of Hansa well. Anang and Jamnadas have also contributed a lot to its plot. Rajeev Mehta has made us laugh a lot in the role of Praful. Pratik Gandhi’s chopper pilot scene is going to be liked very much.

Negative Review

Farah Khan’s acting is decent. Her role could have been made more impactful. She is given very little screen space. Kirti Kulhari has also been given limited space. Some scenes may appear to have been forcefully added.

The way the environment of that country has been presented does not seem very real. It may look artificial. This movie is only for khichdi franchise lovers, apart from this it is not at all for the logical type of audience. For this reason it cannot be targeted to a wider audience.

People who like to watch logical things in movies may find its comedy silly and cringe. There is no sense and logic in its comedy. It can be watched not from the mind but to enjoy the comedy.

Technical Review

Director Aatish Kapadia’s work is good. The way he has handled comedy is the best. He is also the writer of this. As far as writing goes, his work is decent. Music is okay. Production values are low. Editor Ajay K’s work is okay. Some scenes could have been removed or trimmed. Cinematographer Vijay Soni’s work is fine.
