Story and Plot
This story is about three friends who have been friends since school. The names of those friends are Ahana Singh, Imaad Ali and Neil Pereira. Ahana is an MBA graduate from Harvard who is a consultant. Imaad is a stand-up comedian and Neil is a gym trainer. All three of them want to achieve a lot in their life. Ahana is in a relationship but for some reason her relationship is not going well. Due to some issues, the friendship between Neil and Imaad starts weakening. Will their friendship become stronger? Will Ahana’s relation issue be resolved? The answer to these questions will be found only in the film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.
Positive Review
The topic of its story relates to the life of youth. In which the effects of social media are also shown such as loneliness. This film delivers the message that one should spend time with one’s loved ones. Apart from this, it also conveys many relatable messages for the youth. The climax scene and last few minutes are interesting.
Siddhant Chaturvedi has played the character of Imaad Ali. His work is good. Ananya Panday has played the role of Ahana Singh. Her acting performance may seem better in this movie than before. Adarsh Gourav’s work in the role of Neil Pereira was good. His performance is admirable. Apart from Rohan Gurbaxani, Kalki Kolchein, the work of the supporting cast was fine.
Negative Review
Its story is engaging but its pacing is very slow which can give a bored feeling to the audience. Especially some scenes of the first half may seem dull. In some parts it may seem difficult to relate to it.
Its story can be easily predicted in some parts. Especially the audience in urban area can connect with its story. To target a wider audience, urban and rural areas audiences could be targeted.
Technical Review
Director Arjun Varain Singh’s work is decent. He is also its writer. He has chosen an interesting story but its writing could have been better.
Music is very good which works in favor of the film. Nitin Baid’s work on editing is okay as the work could have been done better in the second half. Cinematography work by Tanay Satam is impressive. Production values are decent.
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan: Conclusion
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is a drama film in which the good and bad effects of social media are explained to today’s youth. Some good messages have also been delivered. The concept of the story is good but the pacing is slow. It may not seem connectable at some moments. Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav’s work is likeable.
