After all, why did Dark Devi plan to rob this bank? Now what will happen next will be known only after watching the film.

Thunivu Movie Review: Positive Review

Ajith Kumar has played the character of Dark Devil in it. Ajith is the positive point of this film. He has played this character very well. He has added fun touch to the character. Therefore the story seems a bit interesting and entertaining. He impresses the audience because of his style and action. Comedy scenes are okay. He is an expert in bringing a smile to your face while watching a movie.

An attempt has been made to show the main motive of the crime by adding two flashback stories in the second half. Because of this the film becomes interesting. The message it tries to convey before the climax is a unique idea. A common people can relate to it well. The audience likes the story and overall idea of the film very much. Action and swag are full on in this movie.

Ajith has shared the maximum screen space in this film. Because of this he is seen shining in this film. The way his character is portrayed with evil laugh, dangerous performance, mind blowing action is truly fabulous. Ajith’s swag, personality and screen presence are unbeatable and unmatchable. Not only in action scenes but he also acts well in comedy scenes.

Thunivu Review: Negative Review

Along with a good story and good actors, a good screenplay is also required. Bad screenplay may be the biggest drawback of this film. Gun, action and comedy are seen in the first half. Good suspense, thrill and exciting moments are expected in a heist film. But all these things cannot be created on many scenes. Perhaps the joy of thrill is not felt anywhere. Because comedy sentiment has been used more in it. The twist becomes predictable. If the thrill and climax twist had been shown well, this film would have been an even bigger hit.

A little more effort could be put into character development. Excitement is lost in exploring the mystery of the character. Because of this the first half turns out to be flat with some massy scenes. After some time in the second half, many interesting scenes are also seen. Due to the weak direction of the film, it becomes difficult to feel the emotional scenes due to which we are not able to connect with the story. Despite having a good message, it does not seem impactful.

The climax twist of the film seems a bit illogical. The main villain of this film is climax. If the filmmakers had conveyed it well, it could have been more entertaining. H. Vinoth is the director of this film. His direction is very poor in this film. This was not expected from a good director.

Thunivu Movie Review: Conclusion

This is an action heist film. In which Ajith’s performance and swag can be seen. Thrill is felt only in some parts of this movie. There is comedy in many scenes due to which time passes. Don’t get bored because of the unique story. The way the message has been served through the film is also nice. The screenplay may seem a little poor. If you are a real fan of Ajith then this movie cannot be missed. The way the action scenes are shown is very cool.
