Story and Plot
At the beginning of the story, a village named Rasapadu of British Province is shown. Vijaya, the daughter of the Zamindar of that place, is murdered mysteriously. The British government assigns the task to Agent Devil to solve that murder mystery. When he investigates this case, he gets many shocking hints. After this, they are assigned “Operation Tiger Hunt” mission by the British government. While inquiring into this case, they come to know about the unsolved mystery between both the cases. What is the connection between those two cases. Can Devil solve both the cases? Will he be able to find out the mystery of the case? The answer to this will be known only in the film Devil.
Positive Review
Two cases, murder mystery and Operation Tiger Hunt, are shown in the story. Special Agent Devil was appointed to handle that case. He comes to know of many shocking facts between both the cases. Its story is interesting as well as engaging. Along with action, elements like drama and thrilling have also been added in it so that it remains engaging.
Especially in the second half, there are many twists and turns which have been executed very well. The suspense and thrilling portions work very well. The narration of this part is well written. The establishment of the character has been done in a powerful way. The atmosphere of the British era is well created and the VFX quality is likable.
Kalyan Ram has played the role of Devil. He has performed his best performance. Along with acting, his dialogue delivery is also good. He leaves a solid impact in this film with the magic of his acting. In this, his variety of acting and many avatars are seen.
Samyukta Menon has played the role of Nyshadha. She looks very good in this role. Apart from Malvika Nair, Edward Sonnenblick, Elnaaz Norouzi, Srikanth Iyengar, Seetha, Satya, the entire cast has performed well.
Negative Review
Its concept is good and the story has been started in an engaging manner. But the pacing is a bit slow in the first half and the narration is not that strong. There are some moments in this part in which it can feel stretchy. Some songs in this part may not sound that good. But the songs of the second half help the plot.
Technical Review
Director Abhishek Nama’s work is decent. He could have presented its first half better and taken it to the next level. Production value and set desingn are good. Writer Srikanth Vissa is impressive. He has made its story engaging.
Music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar’s work is okay. Cinematography work by Soundar Rajan is good. Editing work by Tammiraju is decent as some portions of the 1st part need improvement.
Devil Movie: Conclusion
Devil is an action drama film which also has some thrilling moments. Its story is engaging and has a lot of suspense. The comedy scenes are engaging and the actor has delivered satisfactory performances. The slow pacing narration of the first half and some songs are its shortcomings. The work of Kalyan Ram, Samyukta Menon, Vassishta Simha, and Malvika Nair is admirable.
